If you think about it, there is no better place to be a photographer than on tumblr. Sure you can put your work up on flickr or photography based forums, but tumblr is a speedier, more social media oriented, more modern way to find and look at photographs. The site still has some major things to improve on when it comes to uploading pictures, so in no way is the site catered to photographers....
